Baron is a light piston aircraft with engine on both the wings and was originally manufactured by Beech Aircraft Corporation. Currently the plane is a part of Hawker Beechcraft Corporation. The Beechcraft Baron was first put to flight in 1962 and was a variant of Bonanza which was another plane form Beechcraft.

The B55 Beechcraft Baron manufactured on 1965 remained in production till 1982 and during its course of production it was continuously upgraded.

Beechcraft Baron was designed form 95 Travel Air which was a Beechcraft Aircraft. This Travel Air aircraft used the fuselage from the Bonanza and the tail control surface came form the T-34 Mentor a trainer aircraft for military. Now the Beech wanted to create a new Beechcraft aircraft and did by replacing Travel Air’s tail with Beechcraft Deonair’s tail, then the engine was streamlined and the newly formed flyer was named the Baron.

Ever since its introduction the Beechcraft Baron tops the list of the light airplane.

This Beechcraft Aircraft is offered in three different body styling: Barron 55, Barron 56 and the Baron 58 which is with long body.

Beechcraft Baron 58 was first offered in 1970. This was the first Baron 58 with double aft doors, club seating and weighted 5400-5500 lb.

Baron 58 is offered with two engine option which includes Continental IO-520 and an IO-550 that generates 300 horsepower.

With those Continental engines the Beechcraft Baron 58 can reach cursing speeds of 200 knots at 7000 ft and offered with two gas tank options: 166 and 194 gallons.

Later in 1976, turbocharged 58TC and pressurized 58P Barron’s were introduced. Both of the newly launched Beechcraft Baron Aircrafts were discontinued from the year 1984, the original and the most aspirated Beechcraft Baron 58 is still into production as of 2010.
